The vertical televantage phone system sold & installed by worknet is the worst i have ever used, the only thing worse is worknet's service! Buyer beware! Ripoff!

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS A PHONE SYSTEM THAT WORKS without destroying my business by dropping phone calls constantly!!! I purchased a phone system from WORKNET INC from Richard Wilhelm of WORKNET INC earlier this year to use for my new business. The system cost just over $12,000.00 and met my criteria for forwarding phone calls, auto attendant and to handle the growth I anticipated as a company.

I chose to do business with WORKENT INC / WORKNETINC.com mainly because of Richard Wilhelm's knowledge of the system and how it could accomodate our business better than SBC or other systems we were looking into. It also was supposed to cost less per month to own and operate.

I found out very early on that this wasn't the cost that it actually costs more to operate than the SBC system I looked into. BUYING THE VERTICAL TELEVANTAGE PHONE SYSTEM FROM WORKNET INC/WORKNETINC.com WAS THE WORST BUSINESS DECISION OF MY PROFESSIONAL CAREER AND THE WORST DECISION OUR COMPANY HAS MADE ALL YEAR LONG.

The phone system that was supposed to help us make money has actually helped us lose money. THE PHONE SYSTEM IS THE MOST UNRELIABLE PHONE SYSTEM I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN THE LAST 20 YEARS! We have lost 56 phone calls because our system was and still not configured correctly. THE VERTICAL TELEVANTAGE software only works half the time on our DELL computers.

We are still not certain why this has happened because the fine folks at WORKNET INC changed their corporate philosophy and decided that they will nickel and dime all of their customers that signed contracts with them. If you need onsite service you will be charged $75.00 as a minimum charge for their engineer to come out and fix a $12,000.00 phone system.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK AND THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL!!! We NEVER would do this to a customer! We have never had the PROPER training to understand the features of the system so WORKNET INC has left us to figure it out on our own or to be charged $100 plus per hour.

UNFORTUNATELY, The pain of dealing with this system has resulted in over 56 lost PHONE CALLS not due to USER ERROR but DUE TO IMPROPER configuration of the system. My employees are FEARFUL to put someone on HOLD because they believe if they do they will LOSE them just like the other 56 LOST phone calls that we put on hold or attempted to transfer.

I have personally done everything by the book over 12 times and have lost over HALF the phone calls. THE VERTICAL TELEVANTAGE SYSTEM IS A LEMON AND THE FINE FOLKS AT WORKNET INC/WORKNETINC.com ARE NOT STANDING BEHIND THE PRODUCT THEY SOLD TO MY COMPANY!

The sales agent that sold the system told me I would only need 4 phone lines to handle the amount of employees I would have in the office. DUE TO HIS ERROR IN JUDGEMENT I lost over 12 phone calls within the first 45 days of operation. The system will not function properly with only 4 phone lines and 8 end users!!! I had to add 6 additional phone lines and pay for more vertical televantage software!!!

the bill was almost $1,000.00 from worknet inc and $800.00 from (competitor's name deleted - see below) to install the new phone lines. I thought this should solve the problem because I've PAID THROUGH the NOSE for this system and my costs have now EXCEEDED what I could have paid for the high end phone system through (same competitor)!

Please believe me if you are considering a phone system and you are looking at (same competitor) and vertical televantage/worknet inc - absolutely go with (same competitor)!!! If i had to do it all over again i would have signed with (same competitor) in a new york second!

The pain, aggrevation and stress this phone system has caused has been insurmountable. I HAVE SENT VERY PERTURBED EMAILS TO MY SALES REPRSENTATIVE TO RESOLVE THESE ISSUES OR COME PICK UP THIS DISASTER OF A PHONE SYSTEM.

It is now december 16th, and it has been 9 months with this phone system. My warning to all consumers is to never do business with worknet inc./worknetinc.com they will not stand behind their work and you will get billed for things they should fix.

Example: i was sold a system that would handle my business with 4 phone lines. I had to add more phone lines to make the system work and all of it came out of my pocket! My $12k phone system will cost me $16k total just to make it work. The vertical televantage phone system is a lemon! Don't buy one!!! Don't believe your sales representative when they charm you with everything it can do!!! The system is completely unreliable!!!

If i could have this system yanked out tomorrow and replaced with sbc's phone system i would absolutely do it!!! A friend of mine opened his business a few months ahead of mine and used (same competitor's name deleted - see below) and has not had one problem with his phone system or (same competitor)!!!

My worknet inc/vertical televantage system has been a constant headache since it arrived in our office - the employees are afraid to use it because the vertical televantage system hangs up calls that we try to transfer. A phone system is designed to help your business not hurt it!!! I hope my message reaches all small/medium business owners so they can learn from my mistake of dealing with worknet inc/worknetinc.com and the vertical televantage phone system.

My message may sound frustrated and perturbed because it is. I hope you never experience the non-sense and shameful business tactics of WORKNET INC and VERTICAL TELEVANTAGE phone system. We are shopping for a NEW phone system for our office for 2006.

PLEASE WARN ALL YOUR BUSINESS FRIENDS OF OUR NIGHTMARE STORY! It's very important that people know the truth about the UNBELIEVABLY BAD phone systems that are out in the market place for small to medium sized businesses! All we want for christmas is a phone system that will not lose callers that try to reach our office!!!
