"no down, no payments, no interest" ripoff KY

In December we bought a TV from Tweeter's and took advantage of their "no down, no payments, no interest" for 1 year offer.

GE Capital recorded the account and began demanding monthly payments. I made the first payment and went to the store to complain.

The salesman called them and was told it had been corrected. They lied! The next month he called again and was again told it was corrected. They lied again!

The next month I called and was told it had been corrected. They were still lying!

In March a woman with a heavy accent called at 8am on a Sunday to tell me I was now two months behind in my payments and to demand payment. I tried to explain the situation and asked to speak to her supervisor. The man who came on the line and said "hello, " could not speak English, and promptly hung up on me.

I immediately called the GE Capital phone number, but they were closed. We are now talking with the salesman to find a way out of this.

Don't EVER buy something on time from Tweeter's.
