GE Capital Cons Cardco ripoff

I purchased a computor through Best Buy, who at the time financed through GE Capital Cons Cardco. I have payed most of my payments over the payment amount due. It should have been payed off over a year ago. Almost a year ago, due to lack of my own paying attention, I looked over my statement to find that after paying for nearly two years, I owed more than the original loan was for. I called GE capital CONS cardco to inquire why I was being charged so much in finance charges and why I still owed so much. I was informed that the finance charges was because I purchased a promo item.

And the charges was because I did not pay the loan in a 6 month period. I informed them that nowhere on my purchase agreement with best buy did it say promotional sale, nor was I informed at the time of purchased of a promotional sale. After talking with best buy, I was informed that they no longer use GE capital cons cardco because of many similar complaints from their customers. I have since trippled or more when possible, my payments and seems like the more I pay, the higher the charges. It has taken three plus years to bring the original loan down by just a small amount.

I have bought many purchases through several businesses and have never had this problem. I feel they are cheating me because I am being overcharged for a promotional purchase that was not a promotional purchase. Please make sure of where you are being financed through because GE capital CONS cardco will have you over a barrel. I wonder what the cons stands for?
