Through BESTBUY Has Ripped Me Off For Rebate

To Best Buy:

I submitted one set of the two originals, rebate receipt, rebate form, and sale receipt, for my rebate, just to get a card from NETGEAR stating they could not honor the rebate offer due to missing original documents (UPC).
I only have the one remaining set.

I am certain, that if i were to send them my only remaining originals, netgear will stiff me on this rebate just they have before.

How do i obtain the rebate your establishment has advertised without loosing what proof of purchase i have left???

Should report this as another rebate scam?

Best Buy Refered me to Netgear 8/20/05

To Whom It May Concern:

On the 26th of July this year I sent one of the two original receipts and rebate printouts I acquired with the purchase of a wireless network adapter to Netgear to acquire the advertised rebate.

I received a card from Netgear stating that my rebate could not be honored without the original purchase and rebate receipts.

It would seem hard to beleive that such a card with the rebate number could have been generated and sent if in fact you did not receive the original documents.

I am sending your company my only and last set of original receipt and rebate printouts in hope that you honor your advertised rebate obligation.

If your company does not send the rebate you utilized to advertise the product I purchased, Please note that I have reproduced exact copies of all documentation to be reported as another rebate SCAM to all parties and organizations that take an interest in such promotional SCAMS.

As of this date 9/27/05, Netgear has not sent my rebate or any coorespondence in any effort to rectify this problem.

Best Buy is not accepting any responsibility and allowing NETGEAR to commit fraud in false advertising, and NETGEAR is utilizing the false excuse and denying that it has received original documentation to honor it's promotional rebates.

BEST BUY & NETGEAR, are both Guilty Of False Advertising!!
