Ripoff not respecting waranty

I reseived an RCA Lyra MP3 player. $250.00 as soon as it got here it did NOT work, i did some research and found out that the product was discontinued because they break in 2-5 months and 1/3 arrive non working, since the product was discontinued then i should get a different model, but they said no, they will give me the same piece of... Again, why do i want a defective product that i worked so hard for? Rca is pure crap, nothing i ever got from them has worked as it should.
