Ripoff lied about charging a disconnection fee

Electronics and household app.

We had terrible service connection from the cell phone service, NTELOS. We could not use our phone in our neighborhood, or our house. We asked for early termination because of this. We were told by the customer service department that we would not be charged a disconnect fee.

I got a bill with the fee on it, so I called again. NTELOS again told us that it was a mistake, we should not have been charged.

After going thru this several times, they finally admitted that we will be charged, and that the bill is valid. We refused to pay them the disconnect fee because they told us several times that we would not be charged. We have two phone lines so the charge was $400.00. If we had been told the truth, we might not have cancelled the service so quickly.

I beleive this is a scam used by the company to collect fees.
