Ripoff, bait and switch, run around, it's a con

Bestchoicedigital.com were advertising the video camera I was looking to buy for $749.00 (Panasonic GS 400 Sells for $1200-1400 most places) what a deal! I checked out their web site and everything seem ok. I ordered the camera. Two weeks later still no camera. My wife called and turns out they will not send out internet orders unless they are confirmed over the phone???

Now I have been buying off the internet for 5 or more years and have never heard such a thing. Next thing they said this price includes only the camera not the battery or charger. If we want the accessory package that is a total price of $1200.00. The sales person went on to try and convice us to buy a lower model Panasonic GS200 with the accessory package for around the same price ($750) he tried to convince us it was the same camera the only difference being the megapixels on the still photo option. This is very far from the truth.

They told me if I want the camera it is back ordered and it will be 8 weeks. I told them I do want the camera I ordered. I called customer service again a week or so later. This time the story was their supplyer ran out and was trying to get more, it will be six weeks. I called again a week or so later and got a similar run around. Today (19Jan05) I called and was told by john in customer service they had over sold the camera and it would be 8 weeks. I asked why they are still advertising the camera on the internet. He said that was the american version I had ordered the european version which they no longer had and may not be able to get. Call back in 6-8 weeks. He then suggested I look to someone else to purchase the camera.
