Ripoff! Long delay!

On November 30th I participated in 6 different offers to receive a 32" TV. Within a couple of days I looked up my "gift status" and noticed that I was indeed qualified for the TV. I then filled out my voucher and sent it to the address listed. That was about 6 weeks ago.

Since that time I have sent 5 emails - I received no responses. Luckily, I came to this site and found the phone number to the company. I called and left a message. Within a couple of hours "Eddie" called me back and left a message. I looked at my caller ID and called him back and left him a message with one of the secretaries. Within minutes he called me back.

He explained that they have received my voucher and that it takes about 4-6 weeks to "process the voucher" and then they will send the item. I asked him when they began processing it, and he didn't know. I also asked him why it takes so long, and he explained that the sheer number of vouchers they receive is the reason why. He just said that I shouldn't have to wait more than another 4-6 weeks to receive my gift.

I participated in this believing that there was a good chance that this would be a scam. It very well may be. I'll just be happy if I ever receive the TV. Since I went into this believing it was a scam, I made sure that I wouldn't participate in any promotional offers that I didn't have any interest in. I believe that the company is acting irresponsible by not replying to people's concerns, or at least issuing a statement on its website that "due to hgh influx of participants, your gift may take a considerably longer time to receive." I also believe that most of us would be fine if the company said all along that it might take 2-3 months, instead of 4 weeks. I will update if/when I receive the TV.
