Defective Samsung tablet

I live in Canada and bought a Samsung tablet from the USA. The tablet will not allow me to add apps. Canada was going to fix it but sent it back because it was bought in USA. I asked Samsung USA and they were very nice and led me on to think they will be able to fix this until they tried to enter my postal code. After talking to 8 different people, 11/2 hours in Best Buy trying to fix it, and over 3 hours on the phone I finally demanding to talk to a supervisor. I was told it is Samsung's policy that they do not fix a product from out of the country (3 days before they said they would), and that I should of read the policy before I bought it. I said that you do not get the Samsung policy booklet until you buy it and open the box. He told me nothing can be done. I told him a lot of people cross the border here to shop in the USA for electronics and he told me that the same thing happens to people shopping online. So beware of buying Samsung electronics from other countries. I will not be buying anything from them in the future because of the time they have made me waste and I'm still left with a defective product.
