Dishonest reneging on agreements

After being advised by Redlake sales associate Greg Combs to involve Technician Troy Joseph in camera repairs. Troy estimated the amount of time to change from 8 to 10 bit, map the defects and clean the sensor at 3 hours at $125 per hour for a total of $375.00. I only needed to call him after his vacation for an RMA #.

After calling around for more quotes, Redlake said they would not honor that $375.00 quote in favor of a $500.00 for the bit change only, extra for the mapping and cleaning. It seems unfair business practices to 1. Not honor a verbal agreement. And 2. More than double the price knowing what the Tech will actually spend on it. Even 3 hours at $125 is excessive, but to not honor it and say it will more than double is unexcusable.
