I too was ripped off by Nextel. I was told by the online CSR that my bill would be $250. That would be for the deposit, the price of the phone, the activation fee and the first month's fee for minutes.

Instead, when my husband went to the bank to make the deposit on Friday, he found that Nextel had taken over $365, overdrafting our account nearly $100.

I know it would do no good to file a class action suit. I've been involved in those before. The consumer gets squat and the lawyer gets all the cash and there's no satisfaction.

Anyway, I thought I'd add my voice to the hundreds who have complained and probably thousands of others who haven't.
