AllTel Comunications ripoff fraudulant billing dishonest BEWARE Little Rock Arkansas

Looking for anyone who has a ligitimate claim against AllTel to join a class action suit! My husband had an account with 360 communications cellular prior to the merger/takeover with alltel. We recieved a postcard from 360 that said "if you want to continue service with us / alltel, please send in this post card.

We NEVER sent in the card. Took the phone apart and stuck it in a closet. A few months later we recieved a bill from alltel. I called and asked what this was for. I was told they had my husbands signature on file. I said "REALLY?" I asked them to fax over a copy of this "contract. Of course they didn't.

To make a long story short, I went ahead & paid this bill after they sent it to collections, and told them to never bother us again. They turned around AFTER the bill was paid and reported this bill as an unpaid collection. I called and complained several times, faxed over our reciept, and even faxed over the check! Several times over!

The bill was paid in 1999 and since then I have gotten this bill removed from my husbands credit only to now have it show up under a different acct # and my husbands name removed from the original account!

Alltel says we have to call the collection company. The collection company says call alltel or call the cra's and "tell them to remove it". Just since fri,
I have spoken to at least 6 different people in various offices at alltel all for nothing.

I told them that they were breaking the laws set by our government and that i was going to have to get an atty. One guy TOLD ME I SHOULD THAT WHAT HE WAS LOOKING AT THEIR SCREENS MADE NO SENSE! But the others were either saying "ok" but wouldn't give me any info, of saying well give us a day" well that day was monday. I called today and Sherry @ {1-800-672-2051}was unreachable had to talk to others and she was supposedly "handling " it.
