Reservations Reward
Ripoff Best Buy

Education & Science

Reservations Rewards had a pop-up attached to a couple of purchases I made several months ago at Best Buy. Saying I would be receiving $10.00 off of my next purchase just fill in the information. They have billed me for the last several months at a rate of $16.00 per month, since I used two credit cards to make the two separate purchases. One debit was for $9.00 per month and the other was for $7.00 per month. I never questioned the bill because it was a small debit, and I never really noticed it.

The pop-up never stated that I would be billed for anything, and both crashed after I filled out the credit card information. I was wondering why it was asking me for that information, but felt safe since it was seemingly a Best Buy offer. I called and they said that they had e-mailed me with information on how to take advantage of their offer, but I never received any correspondence from them of any type.

When I found the charge I called my bank and they told me that there was a phone number on the bill. So I called and they explained that they could do nothing and that if I had cancelled before 30 days had expired I would not have been billed. But they cancelled that membership at that time. I had never received any information about Reservations Rewards or their supposed benefits. I then saw a bill on another credit card that was similar to the first charge I had noticed.

So I called and it was indeed the same company and I told them to cancel my membership immediately. They said they had, but in the mean time they had billed me for sixteen dollars a month for over seven months.
