Ripoff

We had a seminar at the Red Cross here in Palmdale and we talked to some one with the last name Murphy. They told us we would meet at a Marriot Hotel in West Palmdale, he told us he can help me (the student) with my college funding and that he would keep me informed as time goes by.

So we gave him a check of 1000.00 so we said our goodbyes and left. After a while he did keep us informed only to later find out that they do not provide financial assistance for students who plan to go to community colleges. "But", I said to myself "theres no way I can go to a 4 year college right away" but while I was in the seminar at the Red Cross i noticed that I saw a friend who was in the same position as me. We both couln't go to a 4 year college right out of high school. What they did is they sent letters to people who they knew that couldn't go to a 4 year college.

Now as we try to recooperate the money, they are nowhere to be found!!! Please help me and anyone else who feel to this ripoff!
