YES, I too was scammed by this co. They contacted me in early july and made arangements to have money taken out of my account on aug 6-04.. Was told it would take about 20-25 days to get credit card with $2500 limit. When package showed up it contained a bunch of books on credit and a form to fill out and send additional $49 to get credit card, then you can but money in as you go. This was not how it was explained on the phone.
Called the co. Furious that next mon. Because of course their dept on works 9-5 mon-fri. Talked with supervisor he said he felt they had done nothing wrong and that 100's of people use this service all the time. I told him i couldn't belive it because they are screwing people out $1000's every day. You figure they make about $100,000 a day just by scamming people. They best thing i can say is file a complaint with the better business bureau in that area, also i was told to file a formal complaint with the federal trade commission, i have filed both.
I suggest anyone else that has been scammed by this co. To do the same if enough complaints are filed then the ftc will step in and could make 1 mass lawsuit where hopefully all of us can get our money back. To date there has been 157 complaints to the bbb and not sure how many to the ftc. This is all since 3-04.. Pretty shocking..
