This is in response to the former UOP student who felt she was ripped off becasue UOP failed to disclose the true amount of time required to successfully complete each class.

If you felt you were ripped off on-line, then you really would have been disgusted if you had taken a class on the grounds of UOP. I completed a years worth of classes on grounds at UOP and finally could not take it anymore, so I quite the program. My experience at UOP was not a good one because the amount of work required to successfully complete a class on ground was little to none.

If I were to receive a degree from this school it would not be with pride. To obtain a degree on grounds from UOP requires one to be able to copy words from a text book and add a few of their own words to receive and A or a B. I refuse to accept a degree from a school that allows students to pass classes with As and Bs who cannot write a complete sentence, copy text directly from the textbooks, and cannot formulate complete thoughts. This is ridiculous.

There are no test, no quizes, just presentations and essays. The teachers at this school are SOFT and do not compare to the teachers that teach at traditional universities. I must remember that UOP is a for profit school and is in it for the money, so they cannot fail students. It doesn't surprise me that the students who attend class each session and submitted assigned work recieve either an A or a B. You will never see this type of grading in the traditional univerisity.

All in all, I choose not to attend UOP because of its soft grading standards. I cannot stand next to someone on graduation day and feel comfortable accepting a degree that I know was given to me literally.
