Female-Dominated Health and Beauty Staff Paid Less Than Grocery Managers

I recently gave up my job with Food Lion because of the blatant discrimination it practices and refuses to acknowledge.

The Health & Beauty is handled at the store level, by a predominately female force, company wide. This position requires the same duties as grocery managers (predominately male) but Food Lion refuses to pay them the same or to allow the same amount of time for the work. No one in this company seems to want to hear the issues of these woman. If one raises too much fuss, life at work becomes almost unbearable.

If a study where made by an outside source on the difference in pay, duties, time and sexes dominating these positions, I guarantee there would be a major class action discrimination suit against this company.

Why is a company this size, still allowed to do business like this. Most of us here, have to work, and it makes us afraid to speak out. But somehow, someway, this discrimination has to end!
