McKinley College Complete Scam

I started the medical transcription program with US Career Institutes in April. I took my time with the lessons and maintained a 95%. My husband got sick and was in the hospital, then my grandmother had a stroke and passed away. School had to be put on hold with everything going on at that time. I finally sent in quiz 14 and did horribly for my standards so I waited longer. Meanwhile, my mother in law was promoted at Wadley Regional Medical Center here in Texarkana to human services supervisor. She broke the news to me that Wadley does not hire medical transcriptionists. Her best friend is head over personnel and never even heard of it. To satisfy my curiosity, I called 3 other hospitals and received the same response. Frustrated, I called US Career Institutes to drop out. I gave the lady my reasons why and she says that medical transcription isnt available in all areas and I still owe a balance of over $200.00. When I asked why I wasnt told this before she simply refused to answer. I should not have to pay for an education for a job that may not be available in my area. My hospital contacts were not just here in Texarkana, I called Shreveport and Dallas as well. Neither knew what I was talking about and said their nurses and doctors do all that themselves. I was lied to and mislead. I paid $441.00 for it and Im furious.
