Texas Horse Council aka Jerry Thames Lack of payment, lack of or demeaning correspondence, shady business practices

I took over the web work for this organization as a favor to a friend and fellow designer who had to take on tasks at her full time place of employment, so that Mr. Thames and his org wouldn't be left without someone to work on their site since it was under re-design and time was of the essence.

AFTER agreeing to the invoiced amount, Mr. Thames then refused to remit payment in full, and still owes me part of that invoice. Also, my cell phone bill was 3x's its normal amount, and after close inspection, 89% of the overage minutes were from correspondence with Mr. Thames who, despite my requests to "condense" request and task lists, email them, or leave them on voice mail, still insisted on calling me numerous times a day, AND night, on both my mobile phone as well as my home phone.

I have made repeated attempts to rectify this situation with Mr. Thames, who either refuses to respond to me or does so in a very condescending manner and refuses payment. I went above and beyond what I was getting paid for and bent over backwards for this org, and received virtually pennies, and zero respect or appreciation return. Be weary of this org as long as Mr. Thames has his hands in it.
