Ripoff cashed my check and did not send headset or employment package

Filled out job application, paid with their global check program. I paid them thru one of my checking accounts, check # 1029, dated 04/29. They cleared the check on 05/07. The number posted on the web site, 1-888-253-0256 is disconnected. I have called and left several messages.
5/14/04... Talked with Kevin Chambers kchambers@getindependent.com
He took my info, is processing a refund. Suspensed 5 days... Name, address, email, telephone #... Etc
Says he understands my position, did say it started slow but has picked up. Very different story from Shantee... Too many calls, not enough employees.
5/24/04... Called number from website, all numbers go to a voice mail box. Kchambers@getindependent does not exist.
Sending an email to shipping dept... Next call to atty general.
And now I'm getting training emails from: 6/3/04
