Tax sale kist Will not refund money

On May 25th i ordered a 15 hr live workshop from John Lane's taxsalelist. The workshop classes were to begin the following month on June 14th. Unknown to me at order time, and on or about June 1st my sister was scheduled to for open heart surgery in Lacombe, La. She was scheduled to be there June 13th and surgery was scheduled for June 14th. The same day as the live webinar was to start.

I had a laptop and tried to attend but due to lack of internet signal, i was un able to participate. I called to let taxsalelist know. They understood and told me that i could start at a later date. Recovery for my sister took a turn for the worse. She stayed in the hospital there for 35 days and i was there with her for the majority of those days. On July 18th sis was transfered by ambulance to Jackson, Ms. Where she stayed until September 16th when she passed away. I was there for the majority of those days. I had a lot of unexpected expenses during those times. And once i was settled back at home, my computer crashed.

I have been emailing back and fourth with someone calling herself Mary. My problem was i could no longer afford the "on line workshop". Due to the tragedy, the expenses, the computer, i just could not get anything started mentally or financially. And since i never got started with the course, i believed my money should be returned to me. As they told me they could refund if cancelled one wk before the workshop, but would charge a $100.00 fee. My workshop has never began and i would like all of the $998.00 that i paid

Mary told me she was sorry for my problems. Said she had tragedy in her family too. Told me that i could go to the library to use a computer there. There were several emails back and fourth between us, i have saved them. I tried several phone calls but if i got an answer back, it would be by email from Mary letting me know that it did not matter what my situation was there would not be a refund until after a year and i would have to use the program. And prove that i did. Well, after all this, i don't want to do business with this group of people and i need the money for other expenses now., I do not want to do any business with John Lane or the tax sale list crew. They don't care about people. Just their crew and money. No compassion. I can't do business with them. Can your company tell me what i need to do to get my money back. Thank you..
