Argosy University
Financial Aid Fraud

Education & Science

Argosy University has become the worst educational experience I have yet to encounter. I enrolled at their Phoenix Campus for a second Master's Degree and decided after one class to withdraw from the program. The first semester I got my financial aid one week before the class was over. This time I got my stipend and then decided to withdraw before I attended the class for the second time. They informed me that I was not getting ANY money back because they had changed their policy as of September 1.

Their new policy was that you now paid for 6 credit hours up front. You had 7 days from the beginning of the first class to withdraw or drop add to get a full refund. After that time you were not entitled to any funds. Excuse but this is like paying for a two piece suit and only getting the top and having to pay for the pants anyway but you don't get them. Who does this???

I can not get anyone to answer the phone or answer my calls or email. They still show me enrolled in both classes a week and a half AFTER I turned in my paperwork in person to withdraw. I am extremely upset about this. I have to pay this money back and this is a debt that will never go away. I can't just write this off.

The people I dealt with in person were snotty to say the least and basically told me I had no recourse. I never signed anything agreeing to this new policy nor did I get anything in the mail stating they had changed anything. They sent something to my student email account that i never check because it is supposed to transfer automatically to my personal email which it never did.

This is horrendous and needs to be stopped. They can't get away with this.
