Extortion!

Education & Science

I cannot still believe this school exists. This place has been extorting money from prospective students for years, and for whatever reasons, it still hasn't been shut down. I went there in June after many years of working in an office and needing a change of career. Everyone was friendly when I went to the Open House, hearing several speakers and speaking of what we would learn.

Through the booklet, I found the tuition was $1 which was a lot of money for me, making me take out loans which I eventually paid off. I quickly learned, the equipment was outdated, the stuff they were teaching would never be applicable to the every day work day in radio and television. I asked others to help me when I was having difficulty doing something, nothing!

At certain points, the person who helps you seek employment (I laugh at this now!), would come into our classes with a stack of jobs we would most certainly be able to gain once we graduated. Little did I know, the stooge hid in his office, and searched jobs on the Internet as I could have easily done as well. He had no connections, never helped us at all once we graduated, if he could have at least called the stations, tv or radio and said he was from the school, can you give this student at least an interview. Nothing, nada, nyet!!!

At graduation, they all stood there, saying how wonderful we were, and how, if at any time, we needed help pursuing a job, just give them a call. Yeah, right... Catching up with fellow graduates, who by the way, none are involved in either radio or tv, all told me, the school would not help them, not one iota... When one person actually did get a job in this field, the school actually had the nerve to take credit for helping this student, when in actual reality, they had nothing to do with this person getting the job.

It's sad, really, I liked most of my Instructors, all they are hired to do, is pass along information to the students. That's it! There is not enough time to get the experience in either fields to be able to acquire jobs, so therefore, back to square one. I should have gone to college in this field, at least I would have a degree.

If you have been squandered out of thousands of dollars on this scam of a school, let me know. I enjoy hearing how others have suffered financially due to wasting their lives and money on a place that legally should not be in business!
