YASC Scam, lies, deception

I am addressing this report to the people that have been intrigued by P.A. T institute's flashy and unbelievable offers. You are either one of two people, a young person looking for a fresh career in the trades or an older person looking for a second career opportunity. P.A. T institute offers many things and boosts about even more but the one thing it cannot seem to accomplish is getting graduates jobs. I encourage this reader to not take this report lightly. Before I did the electrical program at P.A. T I tried searching the internet for reviews but they were VERY hard to find. After being completely scammed by them I have decided, and been encouraged by fellow classmates, to write a formal review.

I won't be long winded for the sake of the reader but if some questions were not answered in this report, I would be willing to answer them through email. They will promise you a job, or give you the impression that a job will be lined up for you. When I was there they kept referring to this ambiguous stat, '10 out of 13 students graduated last class and were hired a week after graduation.' It might be different for you, but it will be along those lines and it wont be in writing. After graduation you will try to contact the YASC, which will have been hyped up all along the way, not only will they be very hard to track down but the YASC is the PAT institute. All the PAT institute did was create a company, which consists of an employee with a computer and cellphone, who diverts angry graduates away from itself. Once graduated when you call the PAT institute and complain about no job offers they will just say, "We only deal with the schooling aspect, for job links and offers contact YASC." This system keeps scammed graduates off PAT institutes back.

The tuituion cost is just over $7000.00. You will recieve a set of tools, workboots, coveralls and a hardhat. After many class disscusions we priced all of that at under $500.00 and even that is steep because they order in bulk. You will recieve a laminated library card that says you have completed a number of safety tests. You will spend a maximum of 4 hours at school, 5 days a week. Now I'm not going to sit here and do all the calculations, Ill leave that to the reader, but when you have 15 students paying $7000.00 each (a total of $105000.00) we better be seeing something pretty spectacular.instead we saw, reusing old boxes, wire, equipment, lack of space etc. If you have read this far I'm sure you're thinking twice about forking out this ridiculous amount of money for training that will HAVE to be done during your apprenticeship. So please be weary about them, there are many unhappy graduates but no one has heard their voices yet.
