Flight School Ripoff

I am one of about 300 other students that were attending a flight school neat downtown Orlando named Airline Traning Academy. This school was started by Jim Williams in 1996. Jim also started the school now known as Delta Connection academy with has no link to Jim any more.

This flight school opperated with no appernet problems sence it oppened, and was puping out pilots on a fairly consistant basis even after 9/11.

Every thing was going great, the students were flying five days a week. The school was making agreements with airlines to place there studetns with.

Then with no warning at all the school closed it's doors and shut down all of it's opperations in the middle of the day. All employes were layed off wiht no prior warning and the students now had no school to attend.

The worse part is that nearly every student had very large amounts of money in the school account to cover the cost of flight traning, some students as much as $80,000. Most of this fuding was from Key Bank's Alternative student loan program.

Non of the students money was refunded when the school closed leaving us with the prospect of paying for a loan that some students recived little or no flight traning with. Key Bank has offered little asistance to the allmost 95% percent of students that recived there funding from there bank.

The school witch was owned by the Williams family has sence disapered allong with all the the students money.
