Ripoff

I also owned a Providian Credit card, then it was changed to Get Smart Card, and finally Emerge Master Card. I have since established my credit again and have paid Emerge with an transfer balance, they accepted it twice from my new card company and getting the money back is impossible. My card expired in October and they received payment in same month. No new card was issued but they left the credit on the card, they never contacted me and upon calling I was told they were reviewing my account with an over $200.00 credit on it. Is that crazy. Upon asking for the check back, I almost had to promise my first born child, runarounds, supervisors who lie and the worst possible customer service department in the US "hands-down". I would never recommend this company to anyone, not anyone. They are horrible and they lie to their clients.
