Evan Drew's lack of teaching skills show neglect and borderline abuse of children

I signed a contract with Evan Drew of Zen Tao Martial Arts to teach my child confidence, self discipline and inner strength. I attended every class. Myself, along with a few other parents, find his skills as a teacher to be less than desirable and downright scary if you plan on leaving your child unattended. His mats are dirty as I was there for 3 months and never once saw them cleaned, just put away dirty. He pushes the children to the point of physical sickness and emotionally drains them. When I confronted him, he wouldn't give the simple courtesy of letting me explain what I saw. He immediately blew up in a fit of rage and began calling the children failures and continued to yell at me that I am what is wrong with all of the families / parents of America. I've since spoken with one of his former partners who has given me much more information on this guy. There's quit a long list of complaints about his practices and principles.

In the beginning you are forced to sign a 1 year contract. He then sells that contract to a company called Affiliated Acceptance Corporation (AAC). They pay him up front, then he is out of the deal to treat your children however he wishes while AAC continues to come after you once Evan Drew has breached his contract.

I've contacted the owner of the gym, The Zoo, which is where Zen Tao holds classes and voiced my compliant to no avail. I've contacted the juvenile department of the Sheriff's Office. I've contacted the Health Department. And I will continue making noise if it means saving another child the hurt and embarassment that this man has caused my child.

Presently, Evan Drew got his money and has moved on without a care in the world; looking for others to scam. Google his name and see the list of complaints. You can also do background checks through the County's Official Records Search to see what kind of person you are really leaving your child with. Also Google (AAC) and see the list of complaints there. There numbers on these two will really shock you.

I currently have an Attorney and will probably end up in court over this. As you all know, in the end, the truth will prevail.in the meantime, do yourselves a favor, don't get involved with either of these two companies. There are plenty of reputable karate studios out there whose priority is to teach your children inner / outter strength without putting their health at risk.
