Asked me for a 30-day loan. They never paid back, owing over $50K

I lent them money for 30 days, until they would be getting a large loan, in excess of $3mil, to fund their company. The catch is, they keep claiming that they have every intention of paying me, as well as their investors once they get their funding, but it never gets funded.

They ask you to bring in other people so that once funding can be found, "everyone" will get paid. This would be similar to a pyramid, or ponzie scheme. They have gotten amounts in well over $100k, but never pay. Some of the people that have invested get stock certificates, and they seem to claim they are going public soon, so it's always a good time to buy. They also mention how their sales are doing, but they have falsified this information too.
