I applied for a secured loan and was told I needed to submit personal information and the title of the vehicle for security. Then once papers were signed and they had all my identity information, banking information, and pay stubs, they asked for the first and last payments on the loan be paid before funding the loan. I paid the amount requested and sent it Western Union. They broke the contract by picking up the funds before the loan funded and never funded or deposited the loan amount. I believe it to be a scam to get the initial payment with no intent to deliver a loan.
