Aafes
Ripoff Volgeweh, Air Base

Aafes is the biggest rip off the military has. There prices are extreamly over inflated, compared to here in germany and stateside. The gas prices are more expensive than california who has the highest tax's in the contry on gas, yet aafes pays no taxs. There employee's are rude 90% of the time, they advertise products they don't sell. I don't see how with a 7.1 billion dollar profit they can only afford to give mwr 250 million or so a year, where's the rest of the money? I can buy products online with shipping cheeper than what it cost me to go to the store and buy them for, so where's this savings? Oh and your it's cheeper than paying sales tax, I come from oregon where there is no sales tax on anything and it was still cheeper there to live. Also i didn't have to pump my own gas and the price per gallon was much cheeper, than there tax free pump your own wait in line a half an hour gas station. I see no savings in aafes. They should let walmart in, people would be much happier knowing they weren't being ripped off any longer. We are not the same as the uneducated people living in huts that aafes thinks we are. If we had a chose of a second store to shop at on base besides aafes, i guarentee they would get all the business over aafes. Who are nothing but a monopoly on base pure and simple, yet i thought for a company to run a monopoly in the usa was illegal. I guess there ok, cause they only hurt the military, or so that's what I feel our goverment thinks of us.
