Door to door sales of magazines subscriptions - NEVER received a single issie

A very charming young man came to my door and sold me several magazine subscriptions. I paid on May 7 a total of $280.00 to Platinum Sales, Inc of Orange, Ca. I paid for 3 subscriptions. I suspected I may have overpaid, but figured it was to pay his commission. He told me it would take 8 weeks or so to process my order so I didn't followup right away. After about 2 months I started following up & found many references online to this scam. I never received a single issue of any of the magazines I supposedly subscribed to. It's a shame he didn't use his powers for good - I really think he had potential and a future if he wasn't so corrupt. What a waste. DO NOT TRUST Platinum Sales!
