Medvance Institute - Cookeville
Non-transferable credits! Two years and thousands of dollars wasted!

MedVance promotes itself as an accredited school, but no "real" school will accept transfered credits from MedVance. I've talked with representatives from Tennessee Tech University and Vol State Community College about transfering my credits, but they don't recognize any of the work I've done at MedVance.
In fact, two jobs I applied for told me that they didn't even consider me because my resume showed that I attended MedVance!
I've seen where people in Nashville and in Florida have registered complaints about MedVance. I'll say that my experience at the Cookeville MedVance was just as bad. The director could never give me a straight answer when I would ask her if the courses I was taking could be transfered to a community college or university. And the financial aid officer always gave me the runaround when I would try to make sure my financial aid was taken care of. I was weeks into the program before I signed financial aid papers, and it wasn't until then that I was told how much money out of MY pocket I had to pay.
I wasted two years and thousands of dollars on MedVance and have NOTHING to show for it. I know there are others in Cookeville and the Upper Cumberland who have gone through the same thing.
