Ripoff & scam artists! You will need to close your bank account!

I received a call from a lady around June 3. She said her company was offering a Visa or Mastercard with a credit limit up to $5000. This offer was for those trying to rebuild their credit.

She said the call was being recorded for quality assurance. We discussed the verbal contract: I would receive my Visa card via courier in 2-3 weeks. Once I received it, I could use it to transfer a cash advance to my bank account for $298. Then, about 1 week after I received my Visa, my bank account would be charged $298 for the processing/deposit/etc.

I fell hook, line, and sinker. I was transfered to another person to confirm my order and was told I could ask questions after she confirmed my info. I confirmed everything then started to restate my understanding of it but she had hung up on me without saying goodbye, thank you, or anything. I tried to call back the number, but I was given an answering machine. I decided to wait for the visa card.

Today, June 19, I checked my bank account before I was going to go shopping for groceries. The $298 was taken out of my account, leaving me over drawn with 2 overdraft fees (I had a second fee due to this $298 charge when another check went through that I HAD authorized). I have not received the visa card as of yet. The company STILL is giving me an answering machine and is not returning my calls.

I have gone to my bank with the problem and they are investigating it, and hopefully will reverse the charges. The problem now is, I will have to stop my account and open another one to prevent First Choice Tel from taking further money out of my account.

DON'T FALL FOR IT! If you do, contact your bank right away, fill out a police report, contact the FCC, FBI, and the State Attorney General's office!
