Is a big joke. Visit the school in Delaware and you will see what I saw too

Education & Science

Not too long ago I visited the school in Newark, Delaware. I took the online test. I got my scores and did pretty well. A few hours passed by and I got a call from someone there and said I did really well and they wanted me to come to their information session they had going on. I figured, why not, my job sucks, my wife wants me to do better, so I figured I didn't have anything to lose.

I got there and I realized everything was just a big show and I walked, not into a school, but a sales seminar. We heard all about jobs that are out there and the money we can make working in IT. That was wonderful but I was not really prepared to go to a school I barely knew much about. I wanted to talk to as many people as I could and do all the research I could before making any decision. Considering computers were a mild interest of mine. I know my stuff but never thought of working full time with something I like doing only on the side, I did not want to get stuck into something for the amount they were charging.

The "Director, " if you can call her that, was this chubby little girl who did not look more than 22 or 23 years old. I think that if people there were considering going to the school before she talked to them, she convinced them to go somewhere else. Sure the computer presentation looked nice but she was fumbling over her words, seemed pretty short with people when they asked questions and had an annoying voice. When someone asked why this school cost considerably more that others, she could only fall back on obvious scripted responses. I don't think she had any actual experience in the IT field besides this sales position she was in and probably could not tell a LAN from a WAN, if it were not on the screen in front of her.

The entire time I was thinking about bad she was at what she was doing. She was obviously uncomfortable in her position and was really in over her head. My mind wandered into silly things like how tight and unflattering her clothing were. Childish, yes, immature and mean, probably, but at 35 years old I lose interest in things very quickly these days. I didn't stick around long after this.

I can not say for sure if the school is legit. They put on a good show and all but if they really want people to enroll and feel comfortable they need to put people in front of them with knowledge and unscripted. Less annoying would help too.

So beware, visit if you would like but my experience was completely put off by this little girl.
