Kelly Advertising AKA Granton Marketing
A "waste of time organization"

I answered and ad placed in the newspaper for "Advertising". The ad was..."Advertising Career 28K-32K, start in our entry-level customer service department and learn a career in advertising working with pro sports teams and entertainment industries. No experience necessary. Paid Training available".

Sounded like something interesting, so I called for Amy Condie (a name listed on the ad) to get some information. I called and was transferred to I believe Amy. She said that they were holding interviews the following day and asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment. I was put on hold and not knowing that I was transferred back to operator (the two ladies sounded alike) I was given directions. I asked what the job consisted of, and then realized I was talking to the operator. I was told that she wasn't sure what positions were being interviewed for, and that I could ask that information when I got to the interview the following day.

I went through my interview with Kelly Advertising. I was told to go home and review the website for Grantonmarketing.com. I did so, and when reviewing the website, I read a phrase stating "door to door sales". Not feeling too confident in that, I decided to do a little more research. I came across Usa Consumer Complaints.com and saw complaints towards Granton Marketing. I read numerous reports filed against them and a division called DSMax (one of many different names I came across). A lot that was said was exactly what I went through in my interview that day.in how there was nothing exactly mentioned about the position I would be doing. How the interviewer was on a first name only basis (it was not Amy Condie). How he talked about the company and the big named companies they dealt with, and how I could eventually advance into my own accounts. How he just wanted to know about "me" in this interview process... And if he liked me there would be a second interview.

Well, he told me to come back the following day for an all day event that would take place at 11:15AM to 8:30PM. That I should be in professional attire and comfortable shoes, because we would be in and out of the office all day.

After reading the reports filed and hearing the same things done and said. I just decided to not go through the next interview process. I don't want to be put in a position where I would have to hide from security and deal with door to door sales.

Although this opportunity may not be as horrible as ones I've read, I do not want to take a chance to find out. I really appreciate the people that have taken the time to file a report. It has made me aware of this company, and has stopped me from putting myself in a situation I may not want to be in.
