LC Coaching, AKA: LCC promised to provide a job placement service and job placement advisors (see website and literature). The company did not provide the promised job placement service and advisors. I based my buying decision for this course on the company's website and brochure that had false information, as well as misleading and misrepresented information. Numerous complaints have been filed against this company at the BBB in Santa Barbara.

My primary motivation in taking the course was to utilize the company's job placement service after graduation and this service didn't exist at all.

I have already pursued this matter with numerous attempts to contact the company's CEO Patrick Wallis. I've attempted to get a response from him via phone, email, fax, and finally with a certified letter. Mr. Wallis never contacted me and since has been removed from the company's website. The course instructor, David Lyle-Carter, followed up with an email saying he would contact me in few business days. When a few business days elapsed without response, I contacted him again and he said he'd contact me early next week. Because he never followed through with previous requests, I filed a complaint with the BBB. Complaint # 16023781

LCC advertised and promised a LC Coaching Job Placement Service and experienced ESL Job Placement Advisors upon completion of the course. Both the service and the advisors were never provided. When asking the instructor after the course how to activate my job placement service, he emailed me a list of URL addresses of schools in which I could cold call. This was near impossible as there was no way to determine what type of schools were listed, when they were updated and to whom to apply. I spoke to the instructor on January 30th, and asked him specifically if the extent of any placement was his list of URL addresses. He replied that the list was good and that was all he could do. He said I could check in with him from time-to-time to discuss my progress. A list of websites is not a placement service as outlined in the company's advertising material.

In addition to my complaint, the company guarantees an 80% placement rate they are unable to quantify.
