I am very interested in teaching English in China immediately. I need to study your documents. Will you please provide more detailed information?

Do you have a copy of contract? Appendix?

Example: If you can please email me a copy or copies of references for your business so I know you are at a good ranking for educational system in your country, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much! I was able to provide you with my official documentation to show proof of who I am and my college status in order to teach abroad, it would be nice to read / see some for my safe benefit as my family, close friends, & colleagues have counseled me about jobs overseas. There are a lot of organizations and schools that need English teachers and I would love to get some references from you Amy. Thank you so much! This will help me out. I always read as much literature as I can to learn for my benefit.

What is the full name of the school for this teaching position?

What is the www.link to this school?

Ohhhh, may I keep a bike on campus? I love to bike ride!
:-)

Do you have a www link or document you can email to show me the course description for your school regarding the class I would be teaching in CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH for example?
What is the name of the class?
What is the course description students / faculty would see when a student registers for that class?

EXAMPLE:
ENGL 101 Composition and Rhetoric 3 hours
Prerequisite: ENGL 100 or advanced standing on the placement test. Through the critical engagement of a variety of texts, including written, oral, and visual, this course prepares students to become careful readers, critical thinkers, and skilled writers. Drawing upon rhetorical theory, it emphasizes the practices of analytical reading, informed reasoning, effective writing, and sound argumentation. The course requires 4,000 words of writing in no fewer than five writing projects.

ENGL 102 Composition and Literature 3 hours
Prerequisite: ENGL 101 or advanced standing on the placement test Continues the emphasis on writing. Two analytical papers, based upon studies of the short story, poetry and drama and a research paper, sequentially developed, are required.

Do you have a course description for CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH?
Is that the name of the class / subject matter that is taught?
Or is this CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH under a different name at your school?

Example, if you go to the Liberty University website (where I just earned my Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies), you can see in great detail the description of the educational program itself for the student and teachers who will teach such subject matter with the institution.

Http://www.luonline.com/index. Cfm? PID=14371

Http://www.liberty. Edu/media/1270/ BS_MultidisciplinaryStudies 2008. Pdf

Http://www.liberty. Edu/media/9932/ quickstart/0802_QuickStart_MLDS_UG_lr. Pdf

Here's the Liberty University college catalog http://www.liberty. Edu/media/1109/08-09_ug-catalog. Pdf
Can you send me a link to your school's catalog so I can view it for my benefit?
I am interested to see what it's like to be an official student attending to earn a degree there.

Your class description (name of the class) on CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH will give me a better understand where your school is coming from. The course description should be made public / advertised online somewhere to all college students / staff / faculty / teachers. If you can provide information regarding this, I would greatly appreciate it. I would like to view it.

Do you have a school catalog advertised online as well with all the degree subject matters taught?

If you go to this link http://www.liberty. Edu/media/1413/syllabi / Psyc221_8wk_Syllabus. Pdf
Liberty University shows prospective and current students how a class is taught / what is to be expected out of the class when registering for it. Moreover, I was a student... I took the class... So I got to see what to expect in advance before registering for it and to make sure I could handle the hours involved when taking other class loads in order to graduate.

Hope this helps. I'm very eager to learn of your school.

How does your school work? Meaning, how long does teaching CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH last?
6 weeks? 8 weeks?

When does school start? End?
Example: Would I be teaching in Summer? Fall? Spring? Winter?

These are all very important questions and things I am interested in. I hope you understand. If I was a student, this would let me base my decision in order to attend your school. So from a teacher prospective, I would love to get a course description and answers to the above curious questions.

Are you working for the school itself?
Are you working for an English Club / agency?

May I have further contact information on yourself?
What is your full name? I only know your first name?
What is your address?
What is your telephone number?

May you (or your director) set up an appointment over the phone to discuss this teaching position further?

I am trying to learn as much information as possible. This is my first time considering to teach CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH overseas.
And I am trying to make sure I do my research, get the right information, study it, make certain YOU and your job offer is legitimate, and make certain we can talk on the telephone to verify the contract and your information is valid between both parties (school and myself).

Other than that, I would be happy to teach in Asia once this formal business ideas (communications) are in the clear of understanding on my side and yours (or your agency / schools).

Warm regards,

Milana *

*

Hello Milana,

Thanks for your letter.
Candyfromchina1967 this is my Skype, we can talk about the position by this.

Amy,

If you can please answer these questions, they are real simple. If you can email an example of the Conversational English class like this:

And give me your full contact information, I would greatly appreciate. What is your full name? My name is Milana *.

I do not use Skype.
And my phone number is available. Thank you.

Milana *

*

Hello Milana,

Then may I know your phone number?

Sincerely
Amy

*

Amy,

If you can give me contact information I would greatly appreciate it. I've read online the following: Americans considering teaching English in China should first verify that the school they plan to work for is authorized to hire foreigners. Also, the American should enter China on a work visa if his/her intent is to work.

This is the reason why I am asking for your information. Do you work for the school that is hiring for this CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH class to be taught? Or do you work for an English Club / agency? Because when I go to the Chinese Embassy in downtown San Francisco, I have to show them some type of proof to get a visa to work / teach in China. The documents and the images of the school / apartment / and web link are not really official. Anyone can give out such data. So it is hard for me to tell if you are legitimate in this job offer. I mean this in the most sincere way.

It would help me out. Because then I can say, this is who is choosing to hire me. Her name is Amy %. She works for %. I will be teaching this class % in China.

My roommate, and my mom who works for the U.S. Department of Education and her Chinese friend told me I need to make sure everything is authentic.

Any info is greatly appreciated in order to verify, "Yes, it's okay to work for you." Again, you have to understand, this is my first time learning about jobs overseas. And teaching Conversational English seems like a way to experience a new culture / etc.

Sincerely,

Milana *

*
Hello Milana,

Yes, you are right, the foreigners want to teach in China, he or she must hold a Z visa (work visa) enter China, or it is illegal to work in China, we will also process the invitation documents for your work visa, please look at the attachment, it was the invitation document for our provious foreign teacher. If we are not legal organisition, we can't get this authorized documents.

Sincerely
Amy

*
Dear Amy,

I never allowed any documentation to be processed. Do not process anything. I have not even signed anything. I am still asking simple questions. I have not agreed to any job in China with you just yet. I am still trying to ask if you work for the school who is offering this job? Or are you an English Club agency?

Do you have a www link or document you can email to show me the course description for your school regarding the class taught in CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH for example?
What is the name of the class?
What is the course description students / faculty would see when a student registers for that class?

I am new to this sort of thing and am interested in a detailed description for my benefit. My mom is trying to help me out as much as she can. And she advised that I just get simple facts, study the information given to me, make sure it's okay to work in China, call the school (who has this job available) to make sure this is a real job offer (the salary / the room and board / the number of classes needing to be taught), and get references from previous teachers to make sure it (the school) is a great place to teach - - for the job offer suggested.

However, if this is going to get more complicated asking simple questions when you keep writing, "please don't hesitate to come to me" - - (which I have asked you many simple questions since I need as much to educate myself) - - then at this point - - I will have to kindly say, please eliminate my resume / documentation / application. I have never applied for a job where the business will not give out contact information (a full name, a phone #, an address, a fax number, the director's name, etc), or email an online catalog of the school of what the students learn when it comes to Conversational English.

This is becoming more of a stressful time communicating back and forth for simple answers to easy questions that any college grad would like to know. I am declining your job offer.

I have found the gathered data below.

Http://www.eslteachersboard.com/cgi-bin/forum / index. Pl? Noframes;page=1;read=41968

Your email address is on the top list. Is there a reason why, may I ask? This is making me very curious. I just graduated. I am a simple college student just looking for a job to enhance my future career. I am saying no to your job offer. And no more communication please. I will report all the given data back and forth from all mails between you and I to the correct officials in my country. It is sad that you prey on real people who have good job skills and work ethic and a simple contact info or school data can't be advertised. I have no idea how many people you take advantage of daily.

Questions to Ask When Job Searching
Let's assume you've got classroom assignments ready, have an EFL degree in your back pocket, and are itching to get to a chalkboard. Don't just go to any chalkboard though, if possible, try to choose a school that will treat you right also. Assuming you have some job choices, try to find out the following information.

1. What are the typical number of classes taught, or how many hours per week?
2. What background do the students have?
3. Who else is on teaching staff and their credentials.
4. Ask the school for current or past teachers whom you can speak with.
5. How long has the school been around?
6. Is any housing provided?

Teach Abroad is a scam. It seeks to cheat naive, adventurous Americans out of almost $400 by promising them a well paying English teaching job in the country of their choice. Here is what the company does:

- Lures the applicant in with such attractive prospects as; a furnished apartment, a salary of up to 2700 euros per month, benefits, and a short work week of 30 - 35 hours.

- Instead of being up front with the applicant from the get go, only after the application is processed is the applicant told about an odd, 100 euro 'Application Fee' and 200 euro 'Placement Fee'.

I want no part of your internet scam. And I am going to forward this to the correct authorities. I am certain the correct agency an track down your ip address, and so forth in order to crack down on your negative deeds.

The first time, I sent all my necessary information. Then I wrote asking bits of info about the school / jobs.

It seems all this person cares about is the passport and the school degree. Then further information will be provided. You have to keep asking for more info. Example:

Hello Milana,

Glad to hear from you, thanks for your reply.

Dear Milana,

We won't process the invitation documents if we haven't your signed contract.

I need to explain the email on the website (http://www.eslteachersboard.com/cgi-bin/forum/index. Pl? Noframes;page=1;read=41968), because we haven't replied their emails timely (we thought the emails were unuseful), and they required us pay the fee to them, and we refused, they put out our email to their website, and said something bad about us.

I sent the contract and invitation documents to you, if you are still doubting, I think it is unnecessary that we continue talking any more.

Sincerely
Amy

Milana

Tell me whom offers you job and I will ask my friend and I will send them to Chinese Embassy education director to make sure. Your roommate is right.

I am confused now. Who wants to hire you? What is a Skype? Who is Amy?
I would rather take a formal college or a formal school. My friend will check it out for you.

Marina

Marina,

This has to be a fraud scam. Can you please investigate it? This person refuses to give me their full name, who they work for, and a simple phone number or business address.

Read the information for yourself. If you can report this to the Chinese authorities, I would greatly appreciate it. Because I gathered the following evidence from http://www.eslteachersboard.com/cgi-bin/forum/index. Pl? Noframes;page=1;read=41968#Responses and other web links. I just put (LOOK AT THE EMAIL ADDRESS IN THIS REPORT)

Milana

*

Marina,

Read this persons last letter to me. I can tell this person is getting nervous. I would like it if you please investigate it, turn it over to the Chinese authorities. Who ever you have high contacts with. This has been going on the internet for quite sometime. And sadly - - it had to happen to me.

Any documentation you need, I will certainly help out as much as I can. If you need me to do anything to crack down on this case / to help add to your book on this sort of scam, I will.

Milana

I sent the contract and invitation documents to you, if you are still doubting, I think it is unnecessary that we continue talking any more.

Sincerely
Amy

*

Milana,

I will investigate whom they are and I will talk with the Chinese embassy in Los Angles. I know them well. The pay is two low and didn't list where you are staying and in what condition. I also want to check out if they are good group. Watch out a lot of bad groups in China that they want to make big money out of you. The pay is very bad. My program director of my American International Education Culture Foundation is going back to Shandong to visit his mother on May 8.

Which organization is this and which city they are in? China is as big as the US. I need to know who they are and I can look into it. They are a lot of frauds out in China even their own people got cheated. You need to know exactly who they are and what they are and need a formal contract with them. I just published a book in Beijing Normal University and went through a lot of problems. I am willing to help. I can't tell from the email. Milana, can you ask them who they are? Ask them to send you references. There are a lot of organizations and schools that need English teachers. That was why I went with Dept of Ed. 4 times when I was in OELA.
