Geos Kudanshita Language Institute. Japan Completely Unproffesional. Pay alot of money to go to a school made for children run by discriminating clowns

When you look at the WLE Japan website, you will notice alot of things such as course costs, requirements to go, what kind of programs they have, accommodation etc. One thing they are majorly lacking is any details about the school, your accommodation, or their rules. They are happy to take your money and time before you go. But as soon as you have a problem when you get to Japan, you are screwed. But this only part of why the school and program itself are such a rip off.

First, I should say that my main problem with the World Link Education program is the school. The school they send you to study at is called The Geos Kudanshita Language Institute. If you plan on going to study for awhile (6 months to a year) you will soon find out that the school made for middle school children. They seat 3 people to a desk, and the desks are big enough to fit 1 14 year old girl. The classes include mostly teenagers who are interested in either anime, video games, or movies. If you are above the age of 19, you will feel like a child. The classes are taught that way, as you have to follow school rules such as "no wearing hats", "no chewing gum", "no speaking any language besides Japanese" "No Eating" etc.

The other problems you might immediately notice is that the staff at school are completely unwilling to help you with your problems. They constantly play favorites with students they like, and they often discriminate against westerners. If you have a problem for example: Your host family is horrible (which happens often), the test difficulty is completely unfair, You are having monetary troubles, you may miss attendance because of an emergency, You hate your teacher/class etc. You are forced to explain your problems in Japanese only, if you can't do that they simply don't care. This is different if you can explain them, only to be met with often times rude and deflecting answers.

Most of the schools main problems come from 2 individuals by the name of Nagai and Goto Sensei. Both of them are discriminating, power hungry individuals who don't follow their own rules. Nagai sensei makes most of the rules for the school, which cannot be found in any book or contract. He makes students he doesn't like follow the rules strictly, while students he likes get huge breaks. These include passing tests they did not have the score for. However, because i complained about his policies like impossible difficulty for kanji tests, and his lack of student rules being clearly listed, he then consulted with Goto sensei, who quickly attempted to expel me. I am supposed to receive 3 warnings prior to being expelled, however i never received any. Thankfully but unfortunately, I was allowed to stay at the school.

When asking for a refund for the rest of stay as I had been treated horribly by the staff and had grown tired of the long (3 1/2 hours) and patronizing classes, I was simply told that wouldn't be possible. I was also told i would not receive any credit or a certificate if I choose to do so. Once they have your money and you have gone to Japan, you can kiss it goodbye. Only do you realize once you have left your country that the school is terrible.By then its already too late.

The programs themselves from WLE are highly overpriced, and easily be cut by thousands of dollars if you do the research. The accommodation especially is a huge rip off, as you can always find your own accommodation at a much cheaper price. Don't be fooled into thinking you can learn in a professional well equipped environment at this school, because you absolutely can not. The Price should have been free, because the standards are that of a low budget middle school.
