I just turned sixteen and was writing for about two years then and I had my heart set on getting something published because I want to be a writer when I get out of college. Anyway I saw this poetry contest on the internet from PPP (Pen Pushers Publications) When I had recieved a letter my heart was overjoyed. I had actually gotten published. All of the sudden all these wonderful ideas were rushing through my head as I read their notice. The way they were going on they were going to make this book "The Good Times" Something Special.

I had the thought in my head that People were going to buy it and admire my poem. But then a year passed and right about the time I was expecting it... Well more time passed. My mother payed 230$ or more just to make me happy. I was getting angry and my mother too, so she told me to go and find the address and phone #. I went searching and came across an article with the address and I stumbled upon this con artist report. My heart sank. I had just realized that I had been ripped off.

It was an article of a poor WIDOW who, like me, wanted an admirer or two. They ripped her off too. They took our money and never replied. They never even gave me a confirmation that they had recieved a check. The only way we even knew that it had been recieved is that they cashed it.

You know its pretty sick when you steal period, but when you steal from people and smother their dreams its like taking a dagger and piercing them slowly while twisting the cruel blade while they choke on their own blood. WEll SCREW them. I don't need them. I was rewarded with a medal, certificate and a publication from someone else! Oh but make no mistake. I will not show mercy to PPP, not when they feed upon peoples hopes. So a Warning to you all. Learn from my mistake, and do not trust PPP. They're CON ARTISTS
