"David" Arcadia Financial LTD "Dave" Arcadia Financial LTD ripoff rip-off scam dirt bags the business that doesnt give a dam dirty SOB's dishonest ripoffs dirty SOB's Carol Stream Illinois...

I had good standing with this company UNTIL Aug 23rd 2002. I had suffered two strokes. One in Aug of 02, and one Nov. I was disabled from work. I receive very limited income.

When I was released from the hospital, I contacted all my debtors, and told them I was on disability. I would do my best to send my payment, when I received my disability check. All companies, except (now) Arcadia, was fine with it. Other than that, I had NOTHING to pay.

When I was on short term disability, Arcadia seemed to be tolerant. Then I switched to longterm disability. That`s when all h*ck broke loose.

At first, I received a letter stating I was delinquent. Make a call to their office, to work something out. I called imediately. I thought this was a mistake, because I had already made arangements with them, on what I had to do. I explained my situation befroe to them.

I spoke to a fella named Dave. I thought, they will understand once I explain what`s going on. Well, I was completely wrong about him. He was rude from the moment he answered the phone.

I said"hello? Is this Dave? I was left a message to call you about my acount". First thing he said was "what`s the problem?" "You are 2 months behind on your carpayment... A re you going to try and get this paid up? Or am I going to have to use other options?"... I said " I`ve been on disability for the last 5-6 months, I`m late because my checks come once a month". That wasn`t good enough, acording to Arcadia.

His rudeness continued "We need to have 650.00 today... Or we will come get the car"! I replied"did you not understand what I just said... I get my check this week... I don`t have any money"!"When do you want us to get the car? When do you want us to come pick it up?". I replied "I don`t"! Then he said..."but you just said you didn`t have any money". I replied" nooo, I DID NOT, YOU did!"

He asked "how are you going to pay for this then?"I said "with my disability check... That`s what it is for!"..."When are you expecting it?"..."In a few day`s"... He further tried to put the presure on me..."can`t you see if someone there can loan you 650.00?"... I could not believe my ears... (yep I`m sitting around with bags full of money... And can`t buy food. Or go to my appointments... And haven`t worked since 5 months ago. I had a Heart attack/w bypass surgery/and a valve replacement/and valve repair). I hung up, and forgot to get the info on where to mail the money.

Next day... I call them back to find out where I need to pay this. A nicer guy talked to me this time... But he notified me that I `m dealing with Dave. Dave wasn`t there that day, so he will take care of my questions. I thought, oh how conveinient!

Then day before yesterday, I get in the mail that I need to call their office. The mail was sent out dated Jan 6th. The letter was written last 2nd /3rd (over a week ago). I get the letter on the 8th (a day after it said I had to respond to the letter intime on the 7th... To keep my car from getting repoed!). They kept it a week, to make sure I couldn`t come up with the money in time.

Their response was "they have no control over the mail system... It`s the mail services fault it took 2 days to get here". These people are completely off the wall, Lying, crooks. Eventhough that is normal mail delivery time, it`s the mail services fault I didn`t get my mail the next day, not there`s!

I`m still trying to deal with this mafia family. (That`s what it seems like) This is just some of the scam you are in for if you use this comp... What kind of idiots are working down there? I have gotten NOTHING but greif at every attempt to make amends on my debt. Aparently Dave get`s a bonus for each car he reposess`.

I think it`s time to get a Lawyer! Anyone interested?
