GasUpUSA markets thats its members save 21% on gasoline purchases when in fact this is NOT TRUE. Members are given debit cards in which electronic fees are deducted from the card.

There is a $1 loading fee, A $1 usage fee, 25cents to check your balance fee, and if the card is ever declined there is a 50 cent fee. Considering the fact that the cards are loaded with $25 per loading. Then just the loading of the card costs you $1 or 4% fee. And to use the card just once there is another 4% fee. Thats a total of 8% for just using the card once! This makes the savings a maximum of 13% and is lower with each usage.in addition the company charges $150 to join.

If you spend less than $25 a time at the gas station then you are really saving 9% with the 2 usage fees. To make up the $150 membership fee you need to spend over $1500 at the gas station just to break even. This is the biggest scam I've ever seen.

And this is why the Kansas Attorney General closed this program in their state saying it was an illegal pyramid scheme that represented no savings to the consumer and was full of false claims and fraudulent activity by its distributors
