I responded to an online ad to win a free nintendo wii, and a month later i get my regular verizon phone bill and there's a charge on it for 12.95 for nationwide assist. I call the number on the bill and they say it was signed up for on surveyrewards.com. Turns out the bill is for some 1-800 voice mail box account that i never wanted or signed up for. I guess all they need is your phone number to charge you. I got my money back and insisted that i did not knowingly purchase this. I hope whoever is behind this scam gets caught and punished accordingly.
