Providian/First Resolution Management Corporation
Providian / First Resolution Management Corporation / Washington Mutual / Alliance Paid them twice!

Education & Science

In 2005 I went to Iraq for 14 months and had my son paying my bills. My Providian Visa's credit limit was $1500.00 and was behind. I had called all my creditors to inform them of my situation in January before I left for training in Febuary. Needless to say they made it very difficult for my son and his wife to pay anything even using my checking account and sending the payment online! I had to get things straightened out from over there by having the copy of a Power of Attorney faxed from there. Then it had been nearly 5 months... My son received a call in Sept. To settle for me from one of their sales reps and he jumped at it and paid from my account the settlement amount of roughly $500. Then in October he started hearing from Wash. Mutual who had bought out Providian. Apparently Providian never sent my son a receipt before they sold the accounts to Wa. Mutual. So, WaMu started harrassing my son for payment. He swore up and down I must have two visas. I had never heard of Wash. Mutual. Over the phone, I told him I had no other cards but the ones I had left him.

They kept up the barrage of attacks! They called my son at work, his wife at work, at home and God only knows what else they have done. He payed them again. This time he got more info and he was told the receipt would be in the mail, again. He paid a settlement to this sales person of $700.

I came home on R&R in March to a barrage of phone calls. When I came home for good in June of I heard from a company named Alliance. I went to the Attorney General hear in Austin, Tx. And filed a complaint, I sent WaMu, Alliance and another company that was after Alliance all the copies of the bank statements, copies of the notes my son had kept and a cease and desist notice to each. Did they cease? No! They keep changing their names and incinuating horrible, cruel things to people about my self and my children. I will have to sue them to get them off my back.

To think I paid them (granted a settled amount) twice. Considering my original credit line was never that large how dare they sell my information over and over to collection agencies just because they are strapped for cash. If WaMu had any inkling of ethics they would not have First Resolution calling me day and night for the so called charge-off amount of $1564.94&last payment was $756.63 (obviously the settled amount), and now they say I owe them $2321.57.

If anyone else has this kind of issue Please lets file a law suit and stop them once and for all. If they are having such financial straits that they have to stoop so low as to try to sucker a person who had been trying to pay and keep them happy, imagine what they do to those who don't pay anything! Or maybe they don't waste their time and only intimidate, harrass and totally ruin the life of a single mother and her grown children who was an easy victim!
