Providian has sold my account to palisades collextion and then to first resolution management and first resolution sent my account to a law office in birmingham alabama who has written me harassing letters that they know where i work. I was paying providian 300 a month with 250 in interest. I tried to call them back in 1998 and work with them but they refused and i stopped paying and was on my credit report as a charge off in 2001 but now it is inthe lawyer offices. Can they garnish my wages? Is the sol up since i made a last payment in 2001? Can some one help me i only have a car as assett and rent a house from my father. Should i get a lawyer the law office is scwartzz and z??? Do not habe the info of the law office available at this moment.

All of the collection agencies are negative rating on my credit report and looks as if i'm deliquient on 3 different accounts yet it it is all one PROVIDIAN i did contaCT THE LAWYERS AND THEY WANTED ME TO PAY 380/MONTH AND I TOLD THEM I CANNOT PAY THAT ABSURD AMOUNT. What are the chances this going to court of $5094.
