I accessed the internet on 12/31/07 regarding foreclosures in my city. Found ForeclosureStore and went to their site requesting the information I needed. Their ad says they can provide many listings in all area and the cost would be $8.95 for for seven day access only. I signed up for the 7-day access at $8.95.
Immediately upon accessing their site, I realized they could not provide me with the information I needed (they gave me one listing). I cancelled my service the next day (January 1).
When I initially got on their site, it was very confusing and they referred me to ForeclosureTown. Two site with little info. When I went to cancel I went to ForeclosureTown and cancelled thru them. They claim I did not. Perhaps I went to the wrong site to cancel.
On January 8, I accessed my charge account on line and found a charge for $297 there from the Foreclosure School. I cantacted them immediately and they said there was nothing they could or would do about the situation. I immediately contacted my credit card compan who contacted them, but to no avail. I also send an email to the Dispute Section of Jordan Publishing I hav e not heard from them as of today.
I also filed a complained with the Better Business Bureau of Norwalk, CT with all attached pertinent information. They contacted me today explaining they have not heard from Jordan Publishing regarding my complaint and had I heard from them? I responded no.
Tonight again I heard from the BBB with a message that Jordan Publishing had sent me a letter on January 25.
This company is a rip off big time. To confuse their advertising they have listed three names for their internet companies: Foreclosure Store, Foreclosure Town and Foreclosure Store.
