Scam letter to thousands of people across the us using forged checks bearing our company's name

This company is a scam company sending out letters all over the country telling people that they have won a home improvement grant if they just deposit the attached check and pay them back the taxes and fees. The check is a forged copy of our company checks with our accounting manager's signature scanned in.

We have had to close our account and take hundreds of phone calls from people who are upset about getting these checks and them being fraudulent. Most of the people have been smart and not tried to cash them, but a few have and now they are out thousands of dollars.

I have known about this type of scam from news shows, but I thought they used made up company checks. Please be aware of who you send checks to. You never know who will scam your information.
