I was just checking my bank statement and I noticed 2 charges that I had no idea what they were for. I called the number listed with the charges and I was asked to verify all of my information, to which then I was informed that was what they had on file. No surprise there, since I just gave it to them...

Anyway, I was then informed that I had requested free software for grant writing and access to their internet website. I was informed that I would pay $1.97 for the s/h of the "free" cd and then after a "free" 7 day trial, I was paying $39.95 a month for access to this mystery website.

I told her that I had not received any CD's and I could not figure out how they got my information, she repeated that they had my information that I had just confirmed so that I must have signed up for the program which you could tell she was reading straight from a paper. I, again, told her that I didn't sign up for the program and I wanted nothing to do with it, she then repeated exactly the same thing again that she told me the first time. I then, getting a little more aggravated, told her that I had no intention of using this garbage and that I didn't sign up for the "free" CD. To which, she replied again the same thing, but she also then conceded that she could cancel my account and credit back the amount of monthly fee that I had already been charged.

I still have no idea what started this charge or alleged sign up, and I am not sure what the website is or for. I asked the lady on the phone, and she just responded that I signed up for it and asked for the free CD. I even asked for the website, to which I was supposed to have access to, and she responded by offering my refunds and cancellations.

Anyway, I look forward to any rebuttals from this lovely company...
