Scamming Highschool Students

So, as many people have, I entered some poetry at this site, and like many people received emails in which I was told they wanted to publish... And so on it goes, as we all have heard, they simply try to get money out of you. What bothers me, is I know this because it happened to Three Other People in my school! One sadly made the mistake of purchasing the book, which certainly is not all it's cracked up to be, her poem just happening to be the very first in the book. Also they tried to tell her that they never received her payment!!!

And the best part, when they tell you that all semi finalists are asked to be published, which is supposedly only "12 percent" of entrants. What are the odds that 4 kids form the same school are going to be semi finalists?

The saddest part is we heard about the contest
through the administration, who at the time did not know it was a fraud. Now for those of you still wondering: just google Howard Ely, you'll see then.
