C& S - ComputerSST Manager Howard Brock Took money but didn't deliver magazines

A young girl/woman (Vanessa Sanchez according to the receipt) came door to door on 17 July saying that she was in a contest to win a trip with her organization. She was selling magazine subscriptions. I ended up ordering one for a total of $42. My checking account was debited for the amount on 19 July. It is now December and I have not received a single issue. I still have the receipt. I called the number on the receipt... It was disconnected. I then looked at my checking account statement, which had a phone number included as part of the name. I called that number, which was very similar to the original number. It was a radiology department in Alabama. I confirmed this by googling the number. I then contacted my bank to see if I could get my money back in any way. Since it has been more than 60 days since the transaction they cannot do anything unless I file a police report. I am seriously thinking of doing that as well. I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau online. But with the company's record according to them (unsatisfactory), I don't think it will be very helpful. According to the BBB, Howard Brock is the manager. It's ridiculous that people can actually get away with this.
