Read other accounts of supposedly Italian designers who just finished attending trade shows for Georgio Armani. Supposedly, they do not want to go to the airport with the merchandise and want to unload it because of tariffs, etc.
Anyway, the con shows you his passport, his ID etc. And says that he isn't in need of money and isn't going to rip you off. He then tries to sell you, what amounts to knock off jackets.
I managed to get the license plate of "my guy." He was driving a Cadillac Escalade with Florida plates, 379-HMA.
Just be careful.
